Our users use DirectAccess to connect to our network resources from outside of the office, which works great, most of the time. Sometimes, though, when users are at a hotel or another location with a captive portal that requires sign-in through a webpage, the IP-HTTPS connection will fail and fall into the stepped re-connection timer as described here:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd339950.aspx
If the user is not paying attention and sits for a while before authenticating with the captive portal, the IP-HTTPS re-connection timer can be up to 15 minutes after authentication. In this case, the IP-HTTPS adapter will be in the state "waiting to reconnect" until the timer expires. Does anyone know if there is a way to modify this re-connection timer behavior to retry every 60 seconds or so?
Thanks in advance.
