I was getting our UAG 2010 server up-to-date by installing UAG SP1 Update 1 -> TMG SP2 -> UAG SP2. The upgrade path is documented here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj590870.aspx
Now that I've got SP2 installed my configuration is gone! If I attempt to import the last saved configuration I get:
The selected file was created using a different schema version of Forefront UAG.
The file schema version is "4.0.1743.10000"; the product schema version is "4.0.2000.1000".
If I try to use the Configuration Upgrade Utility to upgrade the configuration created by the automatic backup it says I need to enter a password. We don't have passwords on our configurations.
The upgrade instructions for SP2 has this to say about configuration upgrades from SP1 Update 1 to SP2:
Perform an in-place upgrade- Run the installer file: UAG-KB2710791-v4.0.2095.10000-ENU.msp.
- The configuration from the server running SP1 Update 1 is automatically imported during the installation of SP2.
It also says:
Before you install SP2, we recommend that you create a system restore point. You do not need to make a backup of your existing Forefront UAG configuration because a backup is automatically created during the installation of SP2; however, we also recommend that you back up your configuration before installing SP2.
So I didn't bother to backup my configuration before applying the update. Now I don't know what to do. I could uninstall SP2 and try to get my old configuration working, but then how do I upgrade to SP2 without losing it? I
could recreate the configuration from scratch, but I don't want to do that for obvious reasons. Can anybody help me out here??
