Enabling Force Tunneling Breaks Internet Traffic

I have a freshly configured DA configuration.  The server has one leg in the DMZ and another on the LAN.  DirectAccess was all green and clients were able to connect perfectly without force tunneling enabled, but we would like to force all web traffic through our corporate network for many reasons.

With force tunneling enabled, we are able to connect to DirectAccess (Windows says no internet access) and access internal resources, but nothing out on the web.

Is a proxy required for force tunneling?  What else could we be missing?

When i ping Google from the DA client, it resolves to an ipv6 address but times out each time.  Internal resources are also ipv6 but succeed.

Thanks for any assistance you can lend.
