We recently setup an MDM solution to manage company provided devices like Ipad's Iphones etc. We also use UAG to publish applications like SharePoint. During the provisioning process devices are enrolled with client certificates via our MS PKI infrastructure. I have configured a seperate trunk on UAG which does client certificate authentication. I followed this technet articlehttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee861163.aspx and was succesfully able to logon to the trunk with my Windows7 client using a client certificate. I published a SharePoint site using KCD and that works well too.
That said I tried to do the same with an Ipad but it failed. The iPad does not show the popup screen to select a certificate. Same goes for iPhone. Does anyone have any experience in a simular setup ? Hopefully somebody can point me in the right direction to solve this issue. Would be nice to be able to logon to the UAG portal with provisioned mobile devices using certificate based authentication!
