Hi,
I have a 2 node Direct Access array setup. The server is setup as follows:
ServerA
192.168.1.10 (DMZ)
10.10.1.2
ServerB
192.168.1.11 (DMZ)
10.10.1.3
VIPS
192.168.1.12 (primary), 192.168.1.13 (secondary)
10.10.1.4 (LAN)
NLB is converged. I can ping all VIPS and DIPs. My windows 10 clients successfully connect to ServerA.
The windows 10 clients show a status of "connecting", even when connected.
If I power off ServerA and leave it powered off, then wait for NLB on ServerB to converge, clients will not connect to serverB.
The servers are running on VMWare and are using NLB multicast for both LAN and DMZ NICs.
One odd things is that the NLB MAC address is listed within the NLB GUI as being multicast, but the address is 00-50-56-B2-06-53. The MAC address belongs to a unicast address, but the NLB GUI says it's multicast.
The Remote Access management console shows both nodes as being healthy. All services are running OK.
I'm not sure how I can go about rectifying this so that Direct Access High Availability with NLB works. All indicators say that this should work, but it doesn't.
Thanks
